Hypertext Markup Language -- HTML -- is the programming language used to create the documents that make up the World Wide Web.  It's easy to learn, and there are many reference guides on the Web and in print to help you!  If you decide to publish your website using an HTML editor, or even Microsoft Word, it can be helpful to get acquainted with common HTML tags and syntax.

Not interested in learning a programming language?  You can always create HTML documents in Microsoft Word, or use an HTML editor.
