    American Red Cross, Los Alamos/Rio Arriba Service Center provides relief to victims of disaster and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. UWNNM funds the Health & Safety and Emergency services programs in Los Alamos & Rio Arriba Counties with $10,000.00 in allocations and $21,374.46 in donor designations.   Amigos del Valle is an Espanola area in-home senior service program whose sole purpose is to provide services which will enable senior adults to remain independent within their own homes with a respectable and safe style of life.   Casa Mesita Group Home is a therapeutic residential program for females, ages 12 to 18 years, who cannot live in their own homes due to abuse, neglect, or severe family conflict. Casa Mesita Group Home specializes in victims of trauma and offers individual, group and family therapy. UWNNM fund therapy and tutoring programs with $26,819.77 in donor designations.
  The Crisis Center of Northern New Mexico provides holistic services to victims, children and perpetrators of domestic and sexual violence.  UWNNM funds the emergency shelter program with $24,043.86 in allocations and $25,956.14 in donor designations.  (505-753-1656 or the 24-hour crisis ling 1-800-206-1656) www.Crisis-Centers.com
  The Family Learning Center is dedicated to providing quality services to children and families in the Espanola Valley.  Their goal is to enhance family life, support family members and promote positive self-regard for children and adults.  UWNNM funds the before and after school programs and the pre-school childcare with $67,065.09 in allocations and $6,934.91 in donor designations.  (505-753-2739)
  Family Strengths Network (FSN) provides education, support and social groups, and fun activities to all types of families, parents, teens and children.  They offer classes and support or social groups for parents of infants, toddlers, teens, and children with special needs. The Beth Ladino library and Toy Lending Library provide activities, resources and materials for families. Through their work, FSN improves the quality of family life for generations.   Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails, Inc. serves northern and central New Mexico. Girl Scouts is open to all girls, ages 5 - 17, and encourages them to discover new interests and skills, connect with others and make lasting friendships, and take action helping others to make the world a better place. Adult volunteers help provide Girl Scouting to girls.   It is the mission of the Great Southwest Council of Boy Scouts to serve others by helping to instill values in young people, and in other ways, prepare them to make ethical choices during their lifetime to achieving their full potential.  UWNNM funds Boy Scout troop and adult leadership development with $27,125.81 in donor designations.   Habitat for Humanity Espanola Valley and Los Alamos' mission is to eliminate poverty housing by assisting families in need who are willing to partner and able to repay 0% mortgage that is below market value.  UWNNM funds the building of homes and the ReSTORE project with $9,504.44 in allocations and $40,495.56 in donor designations.   Las Clinicas del Norte provides access to affordable, high quality, comprehensive and culturally sensitive primary health services under the guidance of a board of directors.  Care is delivered principally to the underserved and financially disadvantaged in a manner that respects the privacy, rights, and dignity of individuals.  UWNNM funds a portion of the salary for a full time dentist at the El Rito Clinic with $35,138.15 in allocations and $32,861.85 in donor designations.   Las Cumbres Community Services (formerly Las Cumbres Learning Services) promotes the health and wellbeing of people of all ages in northern New Mexico. They offer more than a dozen programs providing integrated services and support for children, adults and families facing social, emotional and/or developmental challenges. Las Cumbres direct service programs benefit close to 2,400 individuals each year in rio Arriba, Los Alamos and Santa Fe counties. Training, education and referral services impact another 6,000 individuals through the state. UWNNM's funding supports Las cumbres' Adult Services for adults with developmental disabilities and Child and Family Services early intervention and early childhood mental health programs with $78,992.84 in allocations and $18,032.16 in donor designations.   Los Alamos Civil Defense Search and Rescue is available for search and rescue anywhere in New Mexico and southern Colorado.  Their teams include the following: Mountain Canine Corps, Los Alamos Amateur Radio Club, Los Alamos Auxiliary Fire Brigade, Los Alamos Ski Patrol, and the Civil Air Patrol.  UWNNM funds equipment, supplies, and training for search and rescue teams with $5,328,18 in donor designations.   Los Alamos Council on Cancer is organized for the purpose of furthering education, prevention, and treatment of cancer. The council provides cancer seminars, and the 'I Can Cope' program, participates in the annual health fair and donates cancer related books, DVDs and other materials to the Mesa Public Library.   The mission of Los Alamos Family Council, Inc. is to promote emotional and social well being and to enhance the quality of life for all age groups in Northern New Mexico.  They provide highly effective integrated services including, but not limited to, advocacy, education, prevention, and counseling. Low Cost services are available for all ages and income levels. UWNNM funds counseling services and the youth activity center with $98,101.00 in allocations and $17,899.06 in designations.   Los Alamos Heart Council develops, implements, and supports community wide programs in Los Alamos and Northern New Mexico dedicated to reducing heart disease.  UWNNM funds the annual October health fair, the Heart Month Community Seminar, the purchase, placement and education of the community about Automated Emergency Defibrillators (AED's), the support of healthy lifestyle-related activities in the schools by providing funds and pedometers for elementary school walking/running and fitness programs and the Northern New Mexico public libraries for the purchase of heart health and wellness-related materials with $8,359.94 in allocations and $6,153.06 in donor designations.   Los Alamos Visiting Nurse Service Inc. and its branch office, Los Rios Home Health Care, provide Home Care and Hospice Services to those individuals with medical and social needs, regardless of ability to pay.  Los Alamos Visiting Nurse Service Inc. has a full team approach, including RN, PT, OT, ST, HHA, as well as, volunteers and other appropriate support services.  They provide "Lifeline" emergency response units to those individuals who are indigent, live alone and are at risk for falls.  UWNNM provides equipment for the Lifeline program, as well as, supporting the HomMed monitoring system with $2,820.84 in allocations and $32,358.16 in donor designations. Self Help, Inc., since its inception in 1969, has provided a continuum of free services including consultation and advocacy, financial assistance for basic needs, school supplies, and seed money grants to enhance employability. Self Help works on the philosophy that the most effective assistance is aimed at enhancing a family's life skills and level of independence. UWNNM funds advocacy and consultation (including information and referral services), the emergency fund to provide one-time financial resources for people in need (utility bill payment, rental assistance, etc.), and the school supply fund, which purchases essential school supplies for children in need, with $43,800.92 in allocations and $26,199.08 in donor designations.   The Family YMCA serves over 6,000 individuals throughout Northern New Mexico, and is a charitable, community service organization dedicated to building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.  Their programs promote healthy lifestyles, strong values, leadership development, community interaction, and international understanding.  Everyone is welcome at YMCA, regardless of ability to pay through our scholarship program. UWNNM funds scholarships for child care and for support of youth programs, including the YMCA Espanola Teen Center with $39,475.94 in allocations and $13,524.06 in donor designations.
