All calls relating to classes, programs, social and recreational
activities, reassurance calls, general program information, and
scheduling should be made to this number. All calls to the Director of
Senior Programs, Pauline Schneider, should be made to this number.
Transportation is 662-8922 All calls for Monday
through Friday transportation, calls to the Dispatcher, and
reservations for senior trips should be made to this number.
Transportation reservations need to be made 24 hours in advance (except
unexpected medical needs). No answering machine will be used at the Center.
Food Services number is 662-8922. All reservations for
Home Delivered meals should be made to this number.
Retired and Senior Volunteers is 662-8923. All calls
relating to RSVP hours, RSVP membership for age 55 and older, and
inquiries about becoming a RSVP work station should be made to this
number. Calls to the RSVP Director, Irene Powell, should be made to
this number.
Operating hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m - 1:00 p.m. Saturday.

The Center offers social, recreational and educational activities and
provides a variety of daily services to eligible residents and
visitors. Programs offered through the Betty Ehart Center include Home
Delivered Meals, M-F Congregate Meals, transportation for seniors 55
years and older (under age 55 handicapped transportation of Los Alamos
residents in cooperation with LA Bus), computer classes, tax
preparation assistance, legal services, support and advocacy through
the Ombudsman Program, Adult Care, Respite Care, Senior Olympics, AARP,
Defensive Driving classes, toenail clipping, local, regional and
world-wide travel and the Retired and Senior Volunteers Program.
Memberships in the Betty Ehart and White Rock Centers are now available at 50 years of age. For more information call 662-8920.
Educational and social activities are available for all ages. It should
be noted that if the size of the group is limited, senior members (age
60 and older) receive preference.
