BIG THANKS
We had 24 wonderful volunteers help at the blood drive in August, not counting the many Civitan volunteers. There were countless volunteers who helped at the County Fair. We appreciate all of you. And of course we are aware of all our instructors, senior center helpers, poster distributors, tour guides, hospital auxiliary, and the list goes on and on.
Our community would be in a sorry state without you!
NEW STATION
Los Alamos Co-op Market is on our list of stations. Get in on the ground floor by checking out
the website at www.lacoopmarket.com and seeing how you can get
involved. It will foster a healthy
lifestyle in Los Alamos by providing natural and organic foods year-round from
local farmers and producers. They hope
to have a permanent location at the proposed “15th & Trinity Project”.
NATIONAL SENIOR CENTER WEEK
The week of September 8 we will be celebrating our senior
centers. Betty Ehart Senior Center will
have a special event for its RSVP volunteers on Wednesday September 10. Just a small way to say thank you for keeping
our senior center running.
BIG HEART
RSVP had a HUGE heart in the Rodeo parade this year to represent our theme “Volunteers the Heart of the Community”. Thanks go to volunteers Bert Dennis, Alice and Wendell Armour , David Powell and driver Kay Burick. Special thanks to my other family members who helped: my brother Wayne Armour visiting from Portland, OR and my daughter and her husband, Lauren and Dave Heerschap visiting from Durango, CO. RSVP also extends thanks to Dick Boudrie for the use of his trailer and helping us hitch it up.
