Beyond The Grotto

Beyond the Grotto is a small contingent of climbs that are, well, just beyond The Grotto. To get there walk along the right side of The Grotto to where it opens up at the south end. The Alcove is reached by following a trail to the top of the mesa that begins just past #27 in The Grotto. For the other routes continue around the mesa to the right. Exit Arete is only about 75 feet beyond The Grotto #27 on a detached pillar. Chains for Brains is probably another 100 feet around the mesa at the opening to a dead end alcove. The approach to the 5.11 Crack requires some scrambling on loose rock another 75 feet beyond Chains for Brains.
