Eagle Project Workday:  Ben Batha's Eagle Project is finally scheduled for this
Saturday, September 3 at 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.  Ben will be laying a sprinkler system
at Bethlehem Lutheran Church on North Rd., by Mountain School.  He needs volunteers
to cut and glue PVC pipe, lay the pipe and assemble the sprinkler system.  Please
bring a hacksaw and a hand trowel if you can.  If you have any sawhorses that you
can bring, they would be gratefully appreciated. Please email him at

Heron Lake: The long awaited lake campout is next weekend, Sept. 10 and 11 at Heron
Lake. This event will be an ideal opportunity for scouts of varying levels of boating
experience.  We're also planning a water safety program, conducted by one of the park
staff.  Boys who have already earned the Small Boat Sailing merit badge, will be
eligible to learn some advanced sailing topics on a 16' catamaran, including
man-overboard drills, righting drills, and trapeze use.   If you would like to go on
this campout, you must sign up at this Thursday's troop meeting.  Forms are attached
to this email as well.  Please speak to Mr. Elson for more details.


Troop Meeting, this Thursday at the Methodist Church:  Contrary to other information
you may have received, the Troop Meeting will take place at the Methodist Church this
Thursday at 7 p.m. 
At this troop meeting, we will finalize plans for the Fourteener and the Lake Campout.
Next Thursday's meeting will take place at the church as well.


Climbing Merit Badge:  The weekend of October 15 will be Troop 122's annual Climbing
Merit Badge weekend.  Anyone interested in working on the Climbing Merit Badge that
weekend needs to attend a meeting with Mr. Allison at this week's troop meeting.
Parents of interested climbers should attend this meeting as well.
