Troop 122 is planning a high adventure trip for our older scouts to one of
the BSA's canoe bases in the Boundary Waters area of Minnesota and Canada.

The fine print:

In order to attend, scouts should be First Class Rank by January 1, 2006 and
must be 13 years old by roughly July 15, 2006. Participants will need to
attend a few mandatory crew meetings and on-the-water training activities
prior to the trek. Adults meeting the health requirements (physical exertion
in remote places) may also attend, within limits on adult/scout ratios in
each crew. Crew sizes are typically eight scouts and two adults. We expect
the trek to take 10-12 days in the second half of July in 2006. An estimated
cost for planning purposes is $1000 per person. Some of this is subject to
change as we get further into the planning process.

End fine print

To help us with planning and reserving the appropriate number of crews, I
need a "virtual" show of hands of those interested in attending. I need to
see roughly how many scouts may be interested, as well as how many adults we
have to support these scouts.

Please send an email here if you are interested and
qualifyed.
