Distinguished Service Award

The District Award of Merit is a council award presented by districts. It recognizes Scouters who render service of an outstanding nature on the district level. Nominees must be registered Scouters, and must have rendered noteworthy service to youth. It is not appropriate to nominate a Scouter who has already received this award. Our district is usually entitled to present up to 2 awards.

The NNM Distinguished Service Award is a NNM District award, which also recognizes individuals who have demonstrated noteworthy dedication and service within the district. A number of these awards are presented at the discretion of the district awards committee. There are no formal requirements for nominees.
