A Venture Recruiting Event will be held on Tuesday, May 13 at 7-8 pm at the Aquatic Center in Los Alamos.
About 1200 flyers will be distributed to 8th-11th graders in Los Alamos Middle and High Schools for this event that features both
Explorer Post/Venture Crew 20 and the LAPD Police Venture Crew 920. Crews and eligible youth throughout the Northern New Mexico District
are also welcome to participate.
Venturing is a BSA program for young men and women age 14 (who have completed 8th grade) to 21 years old. Adult leaders who are
interested in joining an existing crew or starting a new unit are welcome.
Kayak, raft, and canoeing will immediately follow this event in the pool, so bring your swim suits and towels. A large assortment of
boats will be available, but you are welcome to bring your favorite boat if you desire.
